ABOUT NABIHAH

Vice  News

As a senior video journalist for Vice News, Nabihah has contributed over 100 million views to the exponential growth of the TikTok account through her original reporting. She is multi-skilled - reporting, presenting, producing, filming and editing her own videos covering global conflicts, social injustice, and the climate crisis. Her work includes breaking down complex news stories, with several of her explainer videos individually amassing over one million views. She is also able to creatively capture voices from underrepresented communities in her storytelling, having worked with Ukrainian refugees, students in Sri Lanka, and victims of the climate crisis in the Philippines.

BBC

Nabihah spent nearly four years at the BBC as a multimedia reporter. She lead the growth of the BBC Minute Instagram page, a groundbreaking social account for the BBC, creating and presenting global stories to a young audience on the platform. Her work was ahead of the curve when it came to pioneering Instagram carousel explainers and Instagram Reels before any other mainstream news accounts. She also produced and hosted several Instagram Lives, including an hour-long live during the aftermath of George Floyd’s death that gained a quarter of a million viewers and included multiple guests.

Nabihah was also a reporter for Radio 1 Newsbeat where she worked on multi-platform stories that were published across radio, the BBC website, and Newsbeat’s social pages.

Her journey at the BBC began as a local TV reporter in the Cambridge newsroom.

Huffpost

Nabihah has also worked for HuffPost UK in a social media role that transformed the outlet’s Instagram presence. Most notably, an explainer post on the climate crisis that she created on the Stop Cambo campaign saw her work re-shared by Emma Watson and her 70 million followers. Other highly-engaging social reporting included an explainer post about the murder of Sabina Nessa that reached thousands of people online ahead of any mainstream media outlet.

Nabihah not only managed and created content for the account, she also produced and presented Instagram Lives.
